We are LSU so we will always have solid Defensive Backs. Steele has already made the linebackers look great, especially the improvement of Jones, and with Orgeron at the helm, our recruiting and consistency on the DL will improves.

Yes.

Yes.

Steele and Orgeron are both considered elite recruiters. At this level, it's more about getting the players than having some special scheme; and at LSU we should be able to get players around as good as Bama's. With Orgeron, the D line might be even better, along the lines of a vintage Miami line.

The main question is how much beef do you go for, vs speed guys. We face 2 grinders (Bama and Arky), and 3 spread teams (A&M, Ole Miss and Auburn). Beating Bama is useless if you get swept vs the spread.

I say yes. Defense played good last night just didn't have the depth.

Yes

Needs time to get depth in since Chavis left the DL bare. Starters are talented but need depth in games where your offense gets a slow start.

WVU just scored again!

BAsed on his resume, I'm inclined to say no.

No. Nothing I've seen this year leads me to believe he can build a dominant defense.

No. LSU's defense is soft. The defense showed problems all season but LSU was winning so Baghdad Bob was alive and well in the LSU fan base. Look at the points per game. LSU will have a decent average defense under Steele but nothing LSU fans expect when they watch their defense play.
