Tied with Lane Mestepey for #2 all time at LSU. Needs two more to tie Schultz. I hope he gets the record and is rewarded for coming back this season

To be honest I had a feeling he'd get hit a little bit against State but he earned the W. I think he'll hit another gear now that we're entering the postseason

Is he better than those? No, but he has very steady and consistent throughout his career.

I did too. Truthfully, I don't pay too much attention to other teams before we play them. In my mind, States lineup was up there with Kentucky or Arkansas. After the last two nights, I think they are a couple steps back.

Poche isn't Nola, Lange, Ben, or even Coleman. But he is a damn workhorse. I hope he gets the win record and returns to Omaha.

Hard to compare. More even playing field in college baseball now. Different bats, different ball. And it is a team sport.

Much like those who crap all over Mainieri. In a sport in which there is most parity among all programs (not just the SEC), what he does is noteworthy. This is not the 90s. There will never be a program as dominant as LSU was during those years.

I am thrilled that Poshe got the win, but why was he the winning pitcher since he left the game when the scored was tied?

Thanks.

Because LSU permanently took the lead before another pitcher threw a pitch.

How about 5 more wins:

SEC tourney
NCAA regional
Super Regional ( 7 1/3 gritty innings 7 hits 2 runs 2 BB 5 SO to break the record and send LSU to Omaha
Second round CWS
Title clinching win in Omaha after Lange pitches first game shutout

If they had not blown it last week, he would be 1 away from the tie.

Count on some Rantard to shite on a thread congratulating an LSU player.

Poche is the first LSU pitcher to win 9 games in each of his four years at LSU.

Weak sauce. Why pick that specific game? Why not other games that he didn't win? Why bring losing a game up at all?

I'm just curious as to why you felt compelled to throw a negative into a thread where an LSU player is being lauded for his outstanding contributions to LSU?

Poche has represented LSU at the highest level. Why not just let it go at that?

Why do some of you always have to find something negative?

That top inning may ultimately put him at the top of the win list. I was thinking...good for him when we scored.
