Seems concerning a first year coach at Tulane is already beating LSU and ranked ahead. Surely he isn't paid nearly what PM makes!

David Pierce has had a ton of success at every coaching stop he's made. Assistant at rice when they won a national championship and stayed there for a long time, head coach at Sam Houston and they were very good under him. Now he has Tulane looking good. He didn't come out of nowhere and Tulane made a great hire.

I'm not a mainieri apologist but let's not freak out because we lost 2 midweek games to Tulane. Their pitcher had our number It happens. We don't exactly have the best pitching for midweek games.

They are ahead of us in some polls and/or RPI's which is ridiculous based on talent level.

Do you want to guess what LSU's record would be if we played the weenie's schedule? And let them play Fla, O.Miss, the aggies, Moo St. Vandy, et al. Twice each .

Pierce will be the next head coach at Rice as soon as Wayne Graham is done, which could be as soon as next year...
