That's a knee jerk reaction. I do agree that we need an overhaul coachinf wise (starting with CPM)

Mainieri needs to fire himself for the piss poor hires in Cain and Gibbs.

Why? Who will he hire? Who would work for a lame duck like PM. Every little bit of talent we have will depart, baseball is two years from reemergence.

OK, firing him tonight is a knee jerk reaction. but his performance is completely unacceptable for ANY college team much less LSU. none of our pitchers are improving; in fact, they all are regressing. how many batters have we walked or hit the last 4 games? an average over 9 per game. we are literally giving the game away, esp with such a poor hitting team.
I would damn sure fire him at seasons end.
