New England RB (and former LSU standout) Stevan Ridley has been nominated as one of five finalists for the 2012 VIZIO Top Value Performer (TVP) award. This coveted award recognizes NFL players whose on-field performance most exceeded the value of their 2012 base salary. With a salary of $509,250, Ridley was an obvious choice for this honor, as he recorded more than 1,000 yards rushing and brought in 12 touchdowns, tied for the third-most in the league. Other nominees for the 2012 VIZIO TVP award are Jacksonville WR Cecil Shorts, Seattle QB Russell Wilson, Denver WR Eric Decker and Washington RB Alfred Morris. The winner is determined by a public online fan vote held at www.VIZIO.com/tvp and through Twitter, as fans can us the hashtag #VIZIOTVP and the player’s handle to vote. Voting opens on January 7 and closes at 11:59 pm January 21, with the winner being announced later that week. I thought you may be interested in highlighting Ridley’s great season and helping him secure this award by encouraging your readers to vote. As an added incentive, all fans who vote have an opportunity to win a 60” Smart VIZIO TV.
