You are an utterly embarassing pathetic fool

Paul Dietzel had never even been a head coach before he won the conference, national championship and produced a Heisman winner at LSU

Saban had never won a conference title, national title, or even a bowl game before he did all 3 at LSU

Miles had never won a conference or national title, and had only won the Galleryfurniture.com Bowl before being in 2 NC games

There are scores of young, hungry coaches that are dying to get a shot with a team that is on the cusp of winning a national championship.

More often than not the hire fails so you get real and enjoy the current prestige of LSU football

and if they don't work out? we lose 4 yrs or more, cost millions of dollars and then have to go back to the well JUST LIKE NOTRE DAME, USC, ALABAMA and MICHIGAN. meanwhile, the TAF spends all their reserves and people quit going to games and LSU is no longer an elite program. THERE IS RISK INVOLVED and the reward is not worth the risk. NO COACH wins em all. yes, saban is the best but he ain't coming here; he's got his gig and most of the quality coaches do too.

And so you will take a chance on one of those instead of someone with Miles record?

The risk of hiring a new coach far outweighs the potential benefit to what miles has given us.

So who is an utterly embarrassing pathetic fool now?

and embarrass has two R's.... dumb-arse.

Like lane kiffin?

No sec school won a title the year they hired a new coach. not a single fricking one. so you would be throwing that cusp rt out the window with a brand new staff. It would make the oos recruits decision to go elsewhere easier, and it would make the jrs decision to leave early easier.

Out of 120 teams so few players and coaches get to play for it all. Well we are lucky to have those select few.

Oh shite. What have they done?

The correct answer was nothing. The next LSU coach that will win us an NC is not even on the radar at this point

Point is, its a guess. We know we have a coach that wins over 80% of his games. You wanna roll the dice with someone who could turn out to be horrible. Someone who turns out to be Ron Zook or whatever. You can't argue with the record and with facts. Just cause you don't like Miles don't let it make you delusional.

Shhh..

Don't tell him that LSU won't be on top forever. He won't believe it. LSU "deserves" to be #1 always. In-state talent and such.

And for every miles and saban there is an archer and hallman. Risk is greater. Plus we didnt throw money at those guys, and we wouldnt this time. A coach needs to earn his pay, just like miles has.

Any of the names people throw around would require LSU throwing the bank at them. Im not willing to do that. If we are going by the fans expectations, Saban never would have lasted til 03. Fans would have wanted him gone after his 07, 08 and 10 season at bama.

But he didnt. Les went to the seccg his first year with one of the most remarkable seasons we had ever had if you consider the shite storm the state had gone through.

Plus he could have beat UF or LSU and still lost to bama. You have no idea how the season would have played out. All we know is how it did. Not to mention he would still have to have gone and beaten another really good team in ATL.

Wait, when did Archer and Hallman take over from a NC winning coach? Damn, I hate that I missed those title games
