With the schedule ahead of us and we win out and he doesn't think O deserves it??? Sorry, but I can't get on board that ship.
I guess you missed his games at Ole Miss then.

If a person is willing to take the LSU job for a below-market salary because no other teams would offer that person market salary, we should not hire that person.
The notion that Orgeron is going to be cheap is a false one. Unless LSU truly ends up settling on him because he had a less than stellar end of the season, but other top names turned down the job.
If he wins out or is successful by other metrics, he'll have LSU by the balls when it comes to negotiations.

Lmao. You can't be serious right now. You think the guy who has a mediocre overal HC record/resume will have LSU by the balls in negotiations. Dear god...just when you think you've heard it all someone steps up and raises (lowers) the bar even further.

By the balls? Let's wait and see how many offers he gets from other schools before we determine what kind of leverage he has on LSU.
There is no job he will ever be up for that is in the same stratosphere as LSU.

If he ends up as the candidate, I don't expect Orgeron to just take a couple million and be happy to have a job.
If he wins out, which means an SEC championship, he'll have leverage.

If he beats bama and loses 1 or wins out he deserves a shot period. He would be millions cheaper so Lsu could go get the best OC in the country one that's proven and make an offer ya can't refuse. Just think best OC-Aranda on D- O and Craig leading revruiting. That's got championship all over it
Y'all keep saying this, but O wants to run a pro style offense and who in the hell would be the best guy to even run that, that is an OC? It's a dying style in the college game and you'd need an arse load of money to grab one at the NFL level.
Of course then you'd have to figure out IF that NFL OC can even mold all these high school spread QBs into a college pro style player.
One of the simple main reasons I don't want O is that he still wants to run an offense that doesn't mesh with the surrounding high school talent. I have this really bad feeling that hiring O will keep us in this vortex of terrible to mediocre QB play for years to come.

bullshite.
A qb is all you need to run the pro style.
Louisana doesn't produce those type qbs? Boo hoo..... Look elsewhere.
We obv have he the backs, lineman and wrs to do so.

Well. To be fair, Rickdaddy is an expert at the various DL techniques and Booger probably could learn a thing or two from him.

Jimbo is only a good coach without the Jameis years.
He has lost about 3 games per year without him. About the
same as Miles against lesser competition.

...AD fricked up.
Also, just because he is a candidate doesn't mean he gets to name his price.
You wouldn't expect him to take a couple mil and be happy? Then you must expect an O bidding war between us and another school.
If no other school wants him then what leverage does he truly have? That would mean LSU and he are on the same ground, regarding leverage, although LSU would have more because they could go a different route if he was unreasonable.
Bottom line there is maybe one very unlikely scenario where O has LSU by the balls.
Hell if he fricked around and tried to force their hand they could just make Aranda HC and tell him to frick off.

I did not interpret his comments towards O as not liking/wanting him, I interpreted them as he thought the powers that be want a QB whisperer like Herman, Jimbo, etc.
I think Booger is doing a GREAT job as a journalist/media member in NOT being a 100% LSU homer and calling it like he feels he sees it.

Right. Which is why he needs to go to a smaller fist and prove he can build a winning program.

A lot of posters or hearing what they want to hear or reading what they want to read, but they don't look at the fact that Booger said he would love for Coach O to get the job, but the powers to be want a Big Time Hire, A Proven Head Coach, with a winning Resume.
Booger is just reporting and sharing with the media what he has beent told, people calling him names and a Sabanite is crazy, Booger was long going before Saban step foot on LSU.
I can tell you the LSU people believe that the LSU Coaching job is a top 5 job and they did not fire a winning coach to give the job to the defensive line coach, with that being said I like a lot of Tiger fans would love to see Coach O get the job. And yes if he win out it would be hard to let him go, but right now he does not have a lot of support among the big Boosters.

OH yea he is all LSU his and other self called fan opinions help swell bamas ranks with Louisiana players ,with fans like him and others we cant afford enemies !
Posted on 10/21/16 at 11:32 pm to timm6971463
Dude you need to get a clue, the only thing selling Louisiana kids on Bama, is Bama winning championships, these recruits could care less about what some ex player is saying or announcer, its about winning and winning big
Posted on 10/22/16 at 12:06 am to Earthquake
earth quake ! with fans like booger LSU will never win a NC ,Coach miles did what he did dispite these so called fans !
Posted on 10/23/16 at 8:37 pm to timm6971463
recruits go to places where they think they are going to enjoy being there and their parents feel safe with them being there, with tiger ranters attacking first year players if they don't look like professionals doesn't make a good atmosphere for any body concerned !

Coach is from Loozeeana soil and if he keeps winning we WILL get the best recruits in the state.
