With that game being on thanksgiving I'll never get a chance to go. Might as well play in Houston.

Why is everyone trying to take games away from home?

LSU PLAYS AT TIGER STADIUM.

We win at home. It's our house.

Sure, let's move MORE game off-campus. It will be great paying $3,000 per season ticket to help pay for the new expansion that would only be used maybe 6 times per year. And of those 6, who wouldn't be excited about 3 games against lower-level teams.

I think this wound help recruiting in the Houston area.

Has LSU really ever struggled recruiting the Houston area? Do kids there not have TV? Internet? etc.? Is the 4 hour trip east to BR that burdensome? I doubt ONE game a year in Houston, or Dallas, or Atlanta is going to make or break recruiting in those areas.

This isn't the 1950's, or hell, even the 70's where kids from other parts of the country had never heard of LSU or even seen them play on TV. With the advances in social medial, and just technology in general, the US is a "very small place". IMO the "it's going to help recruiting" manta in (insert city) is one of the dumbest arguments for the off-campus games. What helps recruiting is the national exposure for LSU, regardless of where the game is played.
