Before RP, I know Larry Foster was one way back when but other than him were there many OR was I just not paying attention OR did we just not know about them?

Facebook became available to LSU in what? 2004? Then all the other social media followed. Also this website has grown a shite ton the last 10 years.

Xavier Carter comes to mind. Was he pre-2004?

Athletes were treated differently before social media exploded. It was easy to sweep under the rug and minor infractions were dismissed as normal behavior, as they should be.

was also a lot easier for the coach to take care of the police departments back then...

In the early '80s I was robbed at gunpoint outside the old Power dorm at about 2:15 a.m. (after all the bars closed).

Anyhow, when shown mugshots, most of the pictures were members of the LSU football team. What does that tell you?

It tells me if you had id'd one of them you were getting the rubber hose treatment.

Yes players got arrested pre-rp. They didn't often get booked. Discipline was handled internally.

This shite's been going on forever. You should hear some of the stories about Billy Cannon and Art Cantrelle back in the day.

My dad said Art Cantrelle seemed to get in a fight every week back in the day pre 1975 and never seemed to get into trouble for his wildness. With social media everything gets much more publicity and the cops can't brush kids poor decisions under the rug as much.

Basketball players Lil Apple Sanders & Danny Hester used to love to fight in the parking lot of Southdowns back in the late '60s & early '70's.

The cops would come break things up until the next time.....No one got arrested nor did it make the paper or news. Just really big boys having fun

Fighting in a parking lot versus burglary, not exactly comparing apples to apples.
