We consider playing at their stadium next year, but that is completely up to us. Next season, the Florida game is the third of four straight home games, so it does not negatively affect our schedule next season.

The SEC would compensate both teams for losing home games already scheduled for Nov 19 (LSU vs South Alabama, and Florida vs Presbyterian)...or both schools just eat the loss...not sure if there is insurance coverage for these sort of things.

Anyhow, no way LSU should agree to play at Gainesville on Nov 19, which would give us three straight SEC road games to end the regular season.

You hear me, Joe???

PS - This idea is dependent on two things:
- The game must be played
- The game can't or won't be played in Baton Rouge this weekend

I'm sick of losing free wins. 10-3 last year with Mcneese. Not a bad scenario but the team should be fresh before A&M

bullshite. That would mean that in the overall scheme of things, LSU would lose the revenue of having a game in Baton Rouge.

Ever hear the phrase "poor planning on your part doesn't constitute and emergency on mine"? This is a very good example of it. November 19th we should play only South Alabama.

Not a bad plan Chicken. I still hope to get the game in this week. We win by 21 if so.

assuming we get compensated for losing the South Alabama game, we would also get to keep the money from this year's Florida game.

Do you honestly think the SEC would compensate two teams upwards of 10+ million dollars. C'mon man

Doesn't LSU play at A&M on Thanksgiving? That would be a quick turnaround for back to back road SEC games.

I am sure people have made plans well in advance for that weekend. It is the week before Thanksgiving...popular time to take vacations. I doubt it would get sold out...plus will 8-10k florida fans make it in a month?

We would be replacing a home game this year with a home game. But giving up a home game next year. Net effect is losing a home game for LSU.

All for it except playing the game at Florida next year. That'd mean we'd get screwed out of a home game next year and the whole scheduling process would be in chaos.

with the money the conference makes with TV contract and bowl appearances, it could be spread out over time...but the LSU/Florida game HAS to be played.

Only if A&M agrees to move their game to the following Saturday.
