Wwe have to do something that Bama will not expect....Besides the obvious Mett playing like a real QB......but I think it's time for Sheppard to throw a damn pass. We need to utilize his skills to the max. This kid has been under used and under achieved since his arrival.

everyone knows bama will stack the box...first offensive play, we should come out with 5 wide to spread them out. they won't be expecting it and the y won't have the correct personnel for it. jmo

If play calling will make the difference we are doomed! We haven't had a different game plan since the first game.

if we dont have 2 false starts and 3 dropped snaps in 5 third and short situations in the first half like we did in january, we'll be fine.

I think we run something like the TE flip like 10.
I think we use the Warecat a few times.
I think we throw deep a few times.

Just please, please let us throw to our running backs. Screens, in the flat, whatever. I bet Ford could excel here.

They match personnel groupings, just like every other team in the country.

Mett looks to the sideline confused. Direct snap to Hill. Touchdown run.

I'm sure we'll try that play we lined up for in the redzone against AtM when one of the OL was in the slot!

I would like to see us get our TEs involved also.

ok, that's fine to do that at times but the object of the game is to score points and to do that our offense needs to block and mett/wr's will need to complete passes. i don't know where some people get the idea that we need to be tricky and have a creative, complex offense. it really doesn't matter what the hell play is called if our guys can't prevent ALL of their guys from sacking the qb before he makes his progressions and throws the ball. it doesn't matter what play is called if our guys can't open holes for our rb's either. the play called is only one aspect of the game and even if the defense knows what play we call, it will succeed if blocked well.

it's actually an easy concept: if you're physically and athletically superior to your opponent, then do your thing and make them try to stop you.
If you're not physically and athletically superior, then it's stupid to just try to ram it down their throats. You need to keep them on their heels, and that means making them unsure what we're going to do. Misdirection, counters, screens, draws, throwing on 1st down, etc. Keep your opponent guessing. It's not that hard, but Stud/Les aren't catching on.
Run where the defense ain't.

Did you see the last two plays Pitt ran in their last TD drive against ND. They were beautiful and I hate Pitt.
