Got a room at the sleep inn right off of 85. Booked it last October for $248 total for 2 nights.

Stayed in Montgomery once.

Once.
Place is a fricking ghetto.
Dude told us that evening hope your tires and rims are still on your vehicle in the am.

He wasn't kidding.

Point is don't stay in Montgomery.

Opelika or Columbus, GA is another option.

Here’s a sample of rooms and rates for Marriott properties in the area. You can see that it is a lot cheaper in Montgomery or Columbus/Phenix City. Both are about 45-60 minutes from Auburn. Plenty of $500 rooms left in Auburn though for all of you ballers. Other brands are similarly priced for the weekend.

Mongonery is fine and not a long drive. The team always stays there in one of the hotels but I forgot which one. In fact, the auburn team stays in the same hotel in Montgomery the night before the game too.

That;s the Renaissance in downtown Montgomery. Already sold out. There is a Embassy Suites and a Hampton next door. Not sure of their availability. I would also recommend a new Hilton Garden Inn that’s in the East Chase area of Montgomery. It’s about 15 minutes closer to Auburn than downtown Montgomery. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants.

Quite a few trailer parks where all the field hands...er..."students"... live might have a unit available for rent by the hour. Warning... check roach and rodent level before paying the six bucks.

Opelika, AL or Columbus, GA somewhere off Hwy 80 or at the Marriot with Houlihan's .

Double Tree used to be Four Points Sheraton off Airport Road
Stay away from Victory Drive or anywhere in central or south Columbus, GA around the ratchet strip clubs.

Used to live there for 5 years.

Lagrange, Ga is not too far away either.

Opelika is basically Auburn proper as well but it is small too and fills up quickly.

Over the years I have stayed in Auburn, Opelika, Columbus, Montgomery, and Valley, AL for this game. Montgomery is the best. Hampton Inn East Chase or Hilton Garden Inn East Chase or a second Hilton Garden closer to downtown (off I-85) are all good.

I've got an empty house in Phenix City right off 280.. about 30 min from AU. It has power and water... no cable or internet...but it could be available for the desperate folks!!

Just booked 2 in opelika. They got some left there if you don't mind staying in 2 star hotel, which is all good for my 25 year old crew just looking to get drunk and watch football

Whatever you do ... DO NOT STAY at the Golden Cherry Motel. Born and raised in Opelika and you've just got to trust me!!!
