He seems like a more energetic and less surly Saban.

I love hom and his energy, but I don't see him as a great fit for the culture down here...but I could be very wrong...

He's a star that we are going to miss because we are focused on other candidates.

So you hand over the Keys to someone who hasn't event sniffed a big time program as a head coach? Yet you think O doesn't have the qualifications because he failed at a historically bad program and has since won over 70% of the games he has coached including top twenty match ups.

I would tell you my thoughts, but then I'd have nothing to post on the Coaching Changes Board.

He's a good football coach but I don't think Louisiana is ready for rowing the boat.

LSU should not hire someone from MAC or Ohio Valley type program.

You should rethink this. The list of hall of fame coaches who started in the MAC is pretty long.

This is probably the type of coach Alleva will get.

I don't expect us to get Herman or Fisher.

As I said in another thread, at this point in time, I as a fan am willing to take the fricking chance. Go out of the fricking box like Houston did with hiring Herman. He may be the next Hallman or he could be the next Saban.

And yet some people want to hire Aranda even though he has never ran a program.

What about Chris Petersen? He is a fundamentally sound, offensive minded coach who had great success at Boise and now has Washington turned around. He has proven more than Herman. And, unlike Jimbo, he has won consistently with QBs who are not pure freaks of nature.

He may not want to move east but a lot of things change for the right price.
