am I the only one that thinks we should have thrown our #3 vs their ace in game 1?

I think our rotation top down is better than State's. However, with their ace being as good as he is, winning with Lang is a 50/50 proposition.... If we win game 1 with our 3rd starter, that's a huge advantage with Lang available for game 2.

If we lose game 1, we have Lang for game 2 vs their #2 and our #2 vs their #3 in game 3, advantage Tigers.

On the other side, if Lang pitches game 1 and we lose, we're in trouble and State has the advantage.

This strategy only works if you're confident your rotation is better (by a large margin) then your opponents.

Or they get momentum in game 1 and steamroll you out in 2 games. There is a reason the Game 1 winner wins the series 70% of the time.

I really don't think it matters, State is just playing way above their heads and appear to be a team of destiny. Looks like for the third straight time we will lose in the supers.

momentum

momentum isn't real.. players must go out and perform regardless of who has the 'momentum'
