Is it reasonable that Petrino or Herman would be willing to leave the success they've had at their programs? Both in the top 10 right now with quality teams. I could see Louisville and Houston giving them a raise to stay (assuming they finish the year as strong as they've started)

Bobby Petrino would SALIVATE to come back to the SEC and have a "frick you" attitude...LSU would be criticized on ESPN about running up the score if he was HC.

Petrino's buyout is 10 mil a year left on contract. Extremely to high!

herman will be a lot easier to get if UH doesn't get a b12 invite and houston doesn't make the playoff.

Herman yea, petrino probably not. Herman is making his way through the ranks right now and Houston still is not in a power 5. Petrino has already done is career path and he is back at the school that started it all for him. I would think he stays there, but then again petrino has been known to make a jump before.

What has Petrino ever won? He has great offenses, but so does every team in the Big 12. He owes the Cards, big time, for taking him back off the scrap heap & re-hiring him. No thank you.

You say that like Louisville and Houston are so bad. Seems to me that both have teams that would crush LSU this year. I'm an LSU fan thru and thru, but I'm not so arrogant that I think we are the greatest place to come play football. 1. The fan base here is extremely spoiled. You lose one game and OMG you're head is on the chopping block. 2. We fill Tiger Stadium on Saturday nights only to see it half empty by half time so the boozers can get a head start on traffic. I see other schools fans stay till the end unless their team is being blown out.

I highly doubt Petrino would come to LSU. Even if fired and out of a job. Herman though, could be a different story. BUT Herman has a good thing going at Houston. He is winning with much less talent. He isn't second guessed by rabid fans on his every decision. He can also recruit and if he keeps winning he can pull all of Texas' in state talent to Houston. He has job security there. Maybe he could be persuaded to leave, but I wouldn't bet on it.
