Draft Projection
Rounds 3-4

Sources Tell Us
"I was asked by someone at the school about where he would be drafted if he came out and I told them on the third day. I recommended he go back to school. His size is interesting but I don't see a fast player." - NFC Personnel Director

NFL.com

How can these two opinions be so far off?

WTF....sure seems like something is not right.

Projections are often wrong.

More like he thought his shite was legit. Def got lead astray with some bad info.

But who makes the projections for the NFL? Wouldn't it include input from the scouts as well as front office personnel?

I can see a projected player going from round 3-4 to 5-7, but to go completely Undrafted?!? Something is amiss in this process.

I mean he got drafted as high as I did.

NFL teams don't tell people who they are going to draft.

I get that. But a projection on the NFL website, which presumes NFL team input, being this far off seems ridiculous.

NFL says first, second or go back to a School. He was told to go back to school. Kids don't listen. Now he has to pay to finish his college degree.

Saw Mickey Jospeh at jazz fest, said he wish he could've talked to him earlier and got him to stay.

LOOK ON THAT LINK I POSTED.

It had him projected at round 3-4.

Then the comment is immediately underneath.

Isn't that odd?

How can they have those two diametrically opposed views on the same player profile?

With a comment like that on his profile, it should have projected him as an UFA, not a 3rd - 4th round pick.

Case in point:

Speedy Noil's draft profile.

Scout says:

quote:

SOURCES TELL US "He is off of our board. Good athlete, but not a good football player and not a guy we want in our locker room." - AFC area scout BOTTOM LINE The talent and athleticism alone is worth a higher grade, but the lack of production combined with character concerns inside the scouting community could make Noil a difficult sell until after the draft.

Notice there is no projected round projection to go along with an almost identical sentiment from the scout that he is not worth a draft pick?

Somebody really fricked up with Dupre.

Problem with Dupre was simple. He thought he was at the same level as Leonard and Jamal. Yes, they all came in together highly ranked. But the other two left Dupre long ago. He failed to realize this imo. His boys were leaving and so was he. We know what he should have done though. Smh

I assure you, people told him come back to school. He got better info that some article anyone could read online.

33% of rosters are undrafted players, so his career isn't over. He just put himself in a really long and tough road ahead.

At this point probably better to be undrafted
