Baton Rouge police declined to pursue sexual assault charges against an LSU football player because the woman who made the claim was found to be not credible, a source close to the case told the WAFB 9NEWS Investigators.

A national website reported Monday morning that an LSU football player was being investigated for rape, but did not include the fact that the woman’s story was not believed by police. Other media outlets then picked up that same report.

WAFB is not naming the football player. No charges were filed in the case, which was investigated early last month.

That bitch needs to do some jail time.

Rape allegations are no joke and can ruin an innocent person's reputation for a lifetime.

The sad thing is that in some ways it really doesn't matter. An accusal is almost as bad as a conviction in the eyes of the public. Many won't look to see that the woman's story was found not to be credible. They'll only see that the kid was alleged to have committed sexual assault

If the story was determined to be largely fabricated, then there needs to be significant punishment levied against the accuser. I get that you don't want to discourage women from going to the authorities if they are raped. However, there needs to be repercussions for dragging someone's good name through the mud as well.

YES

if he's suspended from a game for some internal problem, this accusation will come up on Gameday, on the pregame, during the game, when he finally comes back, and every time they highlight him until he's drafted... THEN it'll come up again.

Because too often nothing happens to the accuser after they're proven to be a liar.

Start throwing them in jail for trying to ruin someone's life and lets see what happens to these false accusations.
