Moscona thinks Cardale Jones would have been the first pick of the draft last year. I believe nothing he says.

Of course he was, then certain prominent people in La and many LSU fans had a change of heart. I'm glad Miles gets another opportunity, he's the greatest ambassador for the game, for LSU and for La that there has ever been. He surpasses Saban in that regard.

And the fact that Jimbo's camp(aka..Sexton) wanted $7 mil a year. He is saying that we knew that was what he would want and we still should have pulled the trigger. I heard Charles and Jimmy say that Sexton wanted more at the last minute(because I am sure that sleaze bag thought they had LSU by the balls) and that was also the kicker in the deal breaker.

I don't believe any "inside" information that Moscona has. his entire show is based off hearsay.

Off topic but i loved how on Bama week he was talking about Chesthair's proposal and somebody called in and said, "I cant believe its Bama week and i have to listen to who you think has a better proposal story." Then Matt called the dude a "jackass"

Did he say "sources" in that annoying voice? He's a fricking tool. He knows nothing and deflects anything he's ever wrong on.

This is the line of thinking that I believe. Alleva got approval from Alexander for $X amount for the buyout(s) and new salary. Jimbo tried to negotiate the salary upward and the purse strings were tied.

It would look really horrible if LSU would have spent 15 million plus how ever many more millions on Jimbo and his staff with the financial situation in this state. LSU specifically is in historic fiscal trouble. That and the negative feedback from the media probably factored into whatever the hell happened over the last few weeks.

Face it because of political meddling & the media mob you get a keep a stubborn coach who won't change over another coach who also won a natty who is 12 years younger and a offense for today's game. Unlike miles he built Fla state into National championship.

Yes. Florida State was nothing before Jimbo got there.

Fisher would have come for Saban money but let Bama pay an unproven SEC coach that much. Moscona doesn't understand the role Sexton plays and how he got exactly what he wanted out of it. Once Jimbo bailed, LSU was caught looking stupid. They had no choice to crawl back to Miles. another year or two of Miles and then you can get another coach without a gargantuan buyout
