My guy? I really don't have one.... maybe Venables? Kirby Smart? Arkansas DC? I was on the CP bandwagon, but after looking at that info I'm really not anymore.

Kirby Smart with 5x more talent than anybody else in the country

2013
42 to TAMU
34 to Auburn
45 to Oklahoma

right now at 34 points given up to OSU and over 400 total yards, not to forget 600+ yards and 44 points given up to Auburn.

Venables
45 to UGA
35 to UNC
28 to GT

Arky DC
45 to Auburn
28 to TT
35 to TAMU
45 to UGA

Also didn't Muschamp and Chavis get ridiculous talent and still give up points in bunches

Muschamp/Durkin
30 to UK
42 to Bama
30 to LSU
42 to Mizzu

Chavis
34 to Miss st
41 to Auburn
27 to UF
31 to ND

Pruitt
38 to USCe
32 to Tennessee
32 to Arkansas
38 to UF
31 to UK
30 to GT

Geoff Collins MSU defense now hired at Florida
34 to UAB
29 to LSU
31 to TAMU
31 to UK
31 to Ole Miss
49 to GT

To compare Cal's level of defensive players to any of these outside of MAYBE Arky's and Miss St is a fricking travesty!

Rankings in PAC (a conference known for offense)

-He was #1 in total defense his first two years at FREAKING CAL!!!
-He was #3 in scoring defense his first year and 4th his second year AT FREAKING CAL!!!
-He was #1 in pass defense his first two years at FREAKING CAL!!!
-He was #6 in rush defense in his first year and 4th in rush defense his second year at FREAKING CAL!!!
-He was 2nd in sacks and 21st overall his first year and 3rd in sacks and 20th overall in his second year at FREAKING CAL!!!
-He was 7th in TFL and 54th overall his first year, but ballooned to 1st in TFL and 10th overall his second year at FREAKING CAL!!!

Ranking in PAC

USC
with USC on sanctions (meaning no depth;
he was first in total defense,
2nd in pass defense,
2nd in rush defense,
3rd in scoring defense
5th in sacks and 25th overall
3rd in TFL and 19th overall

USC brought back 8 of those defensive starters he had, and they are doo doo this year

Considering what he had to work with, he was exceptional.

Hmmm, my take on all that gibberish is that GT & UGA had productive O's in 2014.
