Are you talking about the same Pelini who was vilified on the RANT for his soft defenses?

Pelini was the fire on the sideline.

We dont have that right now.

HELL YES! He lit a fire in our entire team. Defense and Offense. Now all we have is a bunch of far arse SOB's.

We have begin to forget what we use to build our team confidence on. In the ole days, our defense was our backbone. Now, we have this soft zone bend dont break bullshite.

Remember, the SEC teams are known for their defenses. Aggressiveness and speed. And yet, there was a quote made by Miles after the Washington game, "That defense we saw out there today is defense we like to see" or something like that. Little did he know we gave up close to 400 yards.

A quality individual who was a hardass when he needed to be, and held people accountable.

...We are left with coaches grading in purple crayon.

No. We had great senior leadership in 2007. That is what held the team together. After the first 3 games, Pelini's defense wasn't worth 2 shits.

With the National Championship on the line, the mighty Pelini defense gave up 50 to the Casey Dick led Arkansas Razorbacks.

Glue? No.

I think so. He seemed like a good second in command. A position which is yet to be filled after his departure.

amazing how people's memory can change over the course of two years. That defense unbelievably underperformed for the last seven games of the season, but now he was "glue"

Ah yes.

The Ghosts of Pelini / Saban Past come out in another thread. Another variant of the "Good Ole Days" theme.

Team has a whole LACK OF LEADERSHIP!!! Not one Senior stood out and took the role, where is Jacob Hester when we needed him, now that was a player who took the position and did well with it

We have let better assistant coaches leave LSU than what we have as a head coach . Will Muschamp, bo pelini to name a couple. These guys at least have a real passion for the game
