good read....thanks for sharing. most imporant point....parental influence based on a two parent upbringing. PP has become a surrogate for what TM was missing in his life and his mentoring has helped change a life going to waste. most disturbing point...."not being around that Louisiana crowd" and the negativity they felt. still a good story and food for thought.

I think they meant Morris Claiborne

Patrick did very poorly on the test also. It doesn't matter at the end of the day. Good people do good deeds. I have no idea where TM7 would be today without PP7, but I can say that under Patrick's guidance I do not expect any more major screw-ups. One of my favorite Tiger visuals is Chad Jones/PP7 running down the sidelines during punt returns and housing them.

I think this is essentially saying "not being around those hangers-on that he grew up with"... and can be said for a lots of athletes. Many of them, for this very reason, choose to go away from their home state to attend college.

Another one of my all-time favorites: Travis Daniels, Joe Addai, Herb Tyler, Jarvis Landry, Buster Davis, Jarrett Lee. (guys who showed up and did what was asked of them, sometimes being overshadowed by bigger names)

I generally think we apply GOAT too liberally so it loses its meaning. The reason I say that is because I truly believe PP is the GOAT and some how that doesn't seem to be enough to describe him. He is such a striking example of how influential a person can be by just a positive influence. That is something that should be celebrated daily.
