It's sad to hear of Pat Summitt's announcement that she has Alzheimers. I have not cared for her over- the- top swagger over the years, but still...

So, how many wonder, as I do, whether this means LSU will lose Nikki Caldwell to Tennessee sooner than later? If she is a big success at LSU, I'm afraid she will be the Vol coach in waiting.

Who cares? It's women's basketball. LSU needs to worry about their men's bball program.

I have always held Pat Summit in high regard. She, to me, is the epitomy of a College basketball coach. It is awful news of her diagnosis. I pray for her and her family.

As far as Nikki is concerned, I wouldn't see her leaving for at least 3 years. I believe Tenn. already has a capable assist. waiting in the wings to replace Pat when the time comes. If I'm not mistaken she is a good friend of Nikkis'.

On the lighter side, I hope this in no way keeps Nikki from wanting to crush Tenn. when we play them.

Coach Summit is a class act and if we had more of her in MB it would be much less about thugs and criminals and more about the game. As an LSU fan I thank her for elevating the WBB game and for being an icon in all sports. First class all the way....
