Parallel between LSU in the men's SEC tourney and the women's tourney is uncanny

Last week, the women were the number 4 seed in the SEC Tournament, played Friday, and awaited the winner of a matchup between 5th seeded Texas A&M and Auburn, who had to win on Wednesday night.

I know, CSB and stuff.

Still, that is pretty bizarre that the teams all lined up the same two weeks in a row.

And the women beat A&M to solidify their spot in the NCAA tournament. Let's hope the similarities continue a little longer.

I think Auburn might win today.

I think the guys are in….I wouldn't stake my life on it, but I feel pretty confident.

Let's get the win tomorrow and remove all doubt.

Yeah, the guys are about 95% in at this point. It would take a lot of craziness around the country along with a snub to keep us out, but not impossible. Now a win tomorrow would make it 100%.

I think so too. It would really be a worst case scenario for LSU. A win over AU would do ZERO to help the resume, while a loss could be a killer

Or it would just knock aTm out further..

If aTm wins, and we end up losing to them..I could see the committee putting them in over use given they have beat us 3 times this year.

I would say I don't see us losing to them a third time, but you just never know with this team.

Edit: It would also give aTm 2 more wins and give us 1 loss to boost their resume and also a chance to take down Kentucky.

One other similarity: Lady Ags and their men were/are BOTH missing their leading scorer to an injury!

So who are we pulling for this afternoon?

A) Revenge on the aggies/boost our resume
B) Easier win/loss could be painful

I'd think B. I'd rather look at the scenarios as 1 more win solidifies the dance, and Auburn is the easier route as this would be their 3rd game in 3 days.

It has to be B. At this point revenge means nothing, LSU just needs to do whatever it takes to get into dat tourney.
