He had an injury before that and it showed once or twice during the game wednesday when he came in late to catch after a strikeout to end the inning
no it didn't. You might want to check with Nick himself, or his Mom. Both will tell you he's fine.

people act like Romero was an all American last year. He had a good month. Top SEC teams figured out he couldn't hit off speed and he slumped.
Look at the #s. Highest Slugging % on the team, second highest RBI with 40% less AB than the leader--hardly just a good month. That must have been one hell of a month to put of those #s. The kid can hit. Almost every college player has trouble with the curve. Some have trouble with the coach too.

Nick has a small bone spur on his hip that was discovered after he caught the Baylor game...they rested him for a week and are now treating him with meds, exercise and stretching...he's doing fine and able to catch whenever needed

Coomes is fine. No injury keeping out of lineup. Not sure where your getting this.
quote:Baton Rouge Advocate, March 9 (9 days ago)
Junior catcher Nick Coomes came into the LSU baseball facility with “severe” hip pain Monday after he earned a start behind the plate last Saturday against Baylor. Mainieri said he will get some rest and LSU will continue to monitor him.
“The prudent thing is to give him a little bit of rest,” Mainieri said. “I think it’s something that will be manageable, at least through the rest of the season, but we have to pick and choose our time when we give him some rest.”

The Advocate article is accurate...he is doing much better now and is in very little pain thanks to the training and medical staff. He is able and wants to play every game that he can!

I'm just glad I could set the record straight...hoping that he will start today!

I think Nick and his parent Trump the hyped news story.
