My girlfriend and I live in Colorado, but are heading down to Louisiana this weekend. I've always been interested in seeing Tiger stadium and my boss is an LSU grad who told me how amazing the tailgating is before the games. We will be driving up from New Orleans on Saturday morning to check out Baton Rouge and I was hoping all of you Tiger fans could give me some tips on how to best enjoy the tailgating scene.

I would also be interested in cheap tickets to the game, but seeing as Auburn is in town, I don't have high hopes of finding any inexpensive tickets. All in all we just want to take in the atmosphere and enjoy ourselves. Thanks.

Day game on TV means there will be quite a few tickets for sale at the stadium. Just look around and wait until close to kickoff.

Allow yourself plenty of time, as parking will definitely be an issue.

Walk up to a tailgate, explain you're rom Colorado and have never been to an LSU game. Enjoy the free food and drinks. Ask where Mike's cage is. About 2 hours before kick off, go down the street of mikes cage and wait for the band to come down. Enjoy your chills.

Best piece of advice, wear Colorado Univ or your favorite schools gear ( as long as it isn't another SEC school). People will bend over backwards to make sure you have a good time.

Make it early morning. As in EARLY.

Tickets won't be an issue. Check out the Ticket Exchange on this board too. Some people asking "too much" but there are some good deals.

Come watch the band pass down victory hill. Generally, there are several tickets for sale in that area, especially after tha band passes.

All the advice given to you has been good.... But to reiterate what a poster told you earlier in this thread... If your waiting till Sat Am to drive in, make it EARLY Sat Am.....especially for what we consider an early game here....2:30 pm....

wear your Colorado gear - anything that is out of State - big buck folk around stadium have 8 to 16 tickets with million dollar RVs - half the time they are to old to fat to drunk and give tickets away

How early do we need to be in town? I was thinking we'd leave New Orleans at 9, but I'm beginning to question that plan.

We would love to wear our Stanford jerseys, but honestly, they look a lot like Alabama and I feel like that is a bad idea.
