they always do. if AJ starts it's just a matter of time that BH gets his shot. that is, unless, AJ sets the world on fire. if AJ has the kind of year he had last year, he's gonna lose his job.

and, the situation will work in reverse too. whoever "wins" the job will be subject to losing it pending performance. it's not like last year when BH was clearly not ready to take the reins. at least clearly to the coaches and to people familiar with football.

to many on the rant it is just a popularity contest. people that have not played this violent game called football underestimate the toughness it takes to be out there. esp. at QB.

Biggest edge AJ has is experience and that's because our chicken coaches are afraid to or just decided to NOT give BH a chance year. There multiple games where things were in hand and BH could have been developed and brought along and the coaches refused to do it.

Brandon's lack of development last year was NOT just his fault, it was also partly the coaches fault for not give him more PT.

Jennings throws the deep ball very well, he just needs to improve his short to intermediate accuracy.

That's true. Doesn't mean it's going to work out so well for us.

If anyone watched the spring game this year there is no chance in hell you can say jennings should be starting over Harris at this point. Jennings is a backup and nothing else.

And by the time they've "figured it out", we'll already be eliminated from west contention. If miles plays AJ to another 8-5, he can pack his shite and GEAUX.

Outstanding post OP. The avg fan has no idea how difficult it is to adjust from high school to these levels of defense. The Sec is a minor league for the nfl. The days of a spread high school Qb stepping into a prostyle SEC offense without a significant learning curve are close to over.the sec will be a Qb league just like the nfl if it isn't already. It's no shame a 2nd year guy isn't quite ready. There's no magic buttons. Look around the sec , these defenses are unparalleled. It will play itself out . the good news is these guys are different giving cam two shots at finding the guy that can make it happen. It wouldn't shock me to see another trying season at the position for LSU and most of the league. Our 2 guys are up against it like it is against these dwfwnsive players and coaches as it is. The added " over the shoulder" pressure is a lot on these two.

I'm from the opinion is you either have it or you don't. We saw Jennings at the best he can be at the end of last season. If Harris can't beat him out now we better hope the 3rd string guy can come through. Who knows he might be the answer

This is it. If you have read Miles' quotes since BH got here, he is begging him to step up an take the reins. Flame me if you want but Miles is no dummy. He sees that BH has more physical skills than AJ. He is at practice every single day. Miles has a want ( :) ) for the intangibles BH brings to the table, big arm, escapability. We all need to brace ourselves for AJ beginning the season as the starter.
