You can only play with the players you have. Our WRs as a group are below par. Very shaky hands other than Boone, who inexplicably is not starting. On top of that, our WR consistenly stick to the defenders like glue. We can't get separation and I believe it is half due to passing play design. Good OCs design plays where at least one guy gets open by scheme alone regardless of the WR talent. We have no creativity.

We waste 3--5 plays per game on possibly our worst offensive skill position player--Shepard. OUr LT position is a disaster and there really isn't going to be a good option this year. We have a serious lack of experienced depth that can step in and play well. this is causing us to go max protect too often, keep Clement in the backfield to help with the D-ends adn teams stack the box and we keep pounding it wiht the same plays the competition has seen for 2 years.

Why do we keep running a zone-read type hand off with ZM at QB? do we think that opposing teams fear him pulling the ball back fromt he running back's belly and galloping for three yards? It makes no sense to have that play in our book any longer.

We systemic issues at two critical positions--OLine and WR. Those aren't going to be fixed this year with our current offensive staff.

Miles controls the offense. Don't kid yourself. Fat man is just a puppet.

Didn't he have two nice runs to give us a first down?

you mean that one nice run when ran a reverse and had to beat one man for a huge gain. He sees the guy closing in on him and he tackles himself for a 4 yard gain to avoid being hit?

Better Oline play will fix everything. Gives Mett and receivers more time to get open. Think this game will help to right the ship. Miles doesn't like to make changes. But we haven't had a close game with an inferior opponent since 2010. I'm betting we see changes at LT.

i still believe mett is a massive upgrade from what we've had, but i don't know if he is going to be put in a position to succeed.

I thought if we could learn to hold on to the ball & catch passes. it ain't no telling how good we could be. I think Lsu should have pounded the ball being Mett. didn't have time to throw the ball. If we don't improve in the OF line we are going to loose several games.

Got a first down--something that wasn't coming easy after the first few drives.

I thought we did better job 2nd half pass protection.

If you gotta use another back or even a te to help out LT spot,, so bet it.
Thats what we did 2nd half saturday.

No it means you don't make ridiculous statements such as we have a coaching staff that can't fix the offense. What if they don't think it needs to be fixed? They have won 18 of last 19 with this "broken" offense. Think about how stupid that is.

OBJ had deep separation, but Mett underthrew the pass just slightly which allowed the DB to catch up. However, OBJ should have still caught that pass.

Shep was open deep, but Mett didn't lead him more to the post (it was more seam/vertical) which allowed the DB time to make a play as Shep tried to adjust.
