due to the fact that Musselman was forced upon him.

I'd buy into that and its the 2nd time I've heard that in the last week.

Doesn't surprise me honestly. And I'm hoping it clicks and Jonny realizes that he just isn't that good at developing the talent he brings in.

How was Musselman forced upon him? I missed this saga apparently.

Les Miles told him that handcuffing your assistants is the way to go.

How much of what Ott "knows" and claims comes from reading this website? Does he even get media credentials to cover LSU sporting events?

Ott, to this day, will swear on his kid's life that Saban was all set to come back in 2007 when Miles to Michigan looked probable. His source was some real estate person in BR.

This is typical bullshite always spewed when the season isn't going as hoped. Football starts losing and it's Miles overrides his coordinators. Manieri has had it directed at him as well. People start trying to fathom how we can possibly lose a game or two and someone hears something and decides it must be true. Everyone talks about it until we start winning again. This narrative requires Jones deciding to cost himself wins in order to voice his opinion about a hire that was "forced" on him. So he's going to weaken his success as a coach and hurt his team in a take my ball and go home moment. Don't buy it personally.

Doesn't get the masses talking. I'm as guilty as any as looking for any reason that somewhat makes sense, but sometimes you have to repeat these things in your head a few times.

So now Les Miles has lost control of the basketball assistants. Great.

So now Johnny Jones is Les Miles. I'm looking forward to the Paul Mainieri limits Alan Dunn's input and a comparable claim for Nikki Caldwell.

I find it hard to believe any of the higher-ups would "force" an asst bball coach hire. (Heck Johnny was all but forced upon them) But i would buy into him not necessarily giving him free reign to express his ideas straight to the players.

All of this. And why would a successful X/O coach put up with this.

If true Johnny is an idiot and is cutting his own throat. Hard to believe he would be that stupid.
