good news for purple & gold….we MAY not see a mass exodus this year especially with the focus of not giving players draft grades beyond the 3rd round.

La'el, Danielle Hunter, and Jalen Collins

yeah back when NFL was giving grades for everyone…now only a select few that are seen as 3rd round talent are better

obviously, this will deter a lot of youngsters.

yeah my sources say kwon wont get drafted. Better get another year and a couple of OL as well. I hope OL collins staying his senior year and improving his stock can stop these mass underclassman departures though.

You're close.

The other major change is the draft grade underclassmen receive from the advisory board. In the past, there were five categories: first round, at least second round, at least third round, fourth-sevenths rounds or undrafted. Now, there will be only three: first round, second round or stay in school.

J Collins probably needs to go
Hunter will leave money on the table if he goes, production was not there but if he comes back he could earn a lot more

I don't see what everyone else does in Jalen Collins. He's athletic, but just not very physical when he plays.

He played lights out this year

It's ashamed that his previous poor play in other years has clouded people from seeing and respecting what a great corner he has become this season

Collins was an outstanding cover corner this year and did fine in run support. If he didn't have block hands he'd get a lot more attention. But he balled out this year.

What team are you watching? Jalen Collins was very physical in run support this year.

I know it's not happening but I can dream.. if Kwon, Hunter, Mills and Collins stays our defense will be absolutely nasty!

Thanks for the clarification. I think this will be a difference maker for us this year. We've been killed with no only legit talent but bad evaluations and poor decisions by college kids in the draft. I think the latter will decrease dramatically this season.

We really need to keep Kwon and all the draft eligible OL. Hunter is a rare physical specimen and we've seen many cases where the NFL judges on the hoof as much as by the stats. I'd sure like to see him reach his potential...at LSU. Thats a win/win but will he understand that.

He has great speed too. What stopped him is in fact the stone hands. Guy should have had 4 ints at the least (2 at Ole Miss alone).

Hunter can improve his stock greatly by coming back a year and showing he is a capable pass rusher. A few guys as examples from this year.

Nate Orchard UTAH
2013 jr
49 TKL, 22 solo, 8.5 TFL, 3.0 sacks, 3 FF, 1 PD
2014 sr
81 TKL, 51 solo, 20 TFL, 17.5 sacks, 2 FF, 2 PD

Shawn Oakman
2013 RS so
33 TKL, 21 solo, 12.5 TFL 2.0 sacks, 2 FF, block kick
2014 RS jr
48 TKL, 37 solo, 18.5 TFL, 10.0 sacks, 3 FF, 3 PD

Danielle Hunter
2014 jr
64 TKL, 27 solo, 12.0 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 1 FF, 1 TD, 6 PD
2015 sr
?????

Guy could make himself a first round pick by coming back and improving on that sack count.

Only problem is he's already projected by some as a first rounder. If you are a projected first rounder then it's in your best bet to leave early.
