they didn't have any film of lsu's offense to watch. can you imagine? all you had to do during the les miles era was plan on stacking the box.

how could they prepare for those formations and play-calling? so they were blindsided.

Florida does get to look at some film. their defense is generally better than Mizzou's so I wouldn't expect as big a pounding. AND florida ain't gonna take 30 seconds to run 3 plays and punt. so we won't run quite as many plays.

it'll be more competitive, but I expect more than a 1 score victory for LSU.

I feel like a lot of people are forgetting how difficult it can be to go to The Swamp and win regardless of the Gator's record.

The other thing you have to factor in is that orgeron only had six days to work with and can slowly add in a few other wrinkles etc.

We didn't do THAT much different. We went to using the Ace formation as a base rather than the I and we alternated using 2 TEs and 3 WRs. We were crisp and not confused at all. It's not like we rolled out the Oregon spread or some shite.

This post is nuts.

The offense was finally predictably unpredictable (you can quote me, but must give attribution).

Good luck with that, Florida.

I always figured The D coordinator for opposing team for LSU week got to play golf 4 of the 5 days before coming in on friday to see if he needed to put 9 or 10 in the box . Not Now though we wide open ! First game of the LESS era and we going 600 yards .

The last and only time we beat UF 4 in a row was 77-80.

These are the same dumbasses who thought Etling and our offense would run over Auburn at Jordan-Hare.

Clemson scored 19 frickin points with a stellar QB.

This game will be a battle. We gone win though!

My expectation is to go to the Swamp and compete. Not keep doing the same ole repetitive its not working. If we compete for 4 quarters and still lose, its not as hard to swallow.

Yup. Also, Etling could have easily had two picks in the first quarter. I am optimistic but what I saw out there was better than execution with a similar gameplan

Most UF fans believe we will beat the shite out of them. Their oline is shite and their qb is not that good.

I expect every week we will see something new whether it be a formation or a few new plays to maybe the tight end. I believe Coach O will be flipping the script with each new week. making Us more unpredictable every week on offense.

I was pleasantly surprised at the production of the offense. Team is playing with newfound confidence and the Gators will have a battle on their hands. Still look for a low scoring game, but as long as the defense keeps improving and keeps Florida in check, the offense will git 'er did. Hoping for the shutout.

LSU 17-0.

This week proved that all future opponents must game plan for an offense that is unpredictable. This means they have to spend a lot of time on "What ifs" vice lets just stick everyone in the box and play it by ear from there. This is going to drive D coordinators knutz because it is no longer all about 7. In fact if we were smart, we should use LF as a decoy because he will have a spy assigned to him. Then, once they get burned and stop spying on 7 and 5, this would open up the play book further.

well, when you use everybody in every personel grouping for every play in every formation it makes it tough on defenses to guess what is coming other than normal down and distance factors. It makes them defend every back as if he may run it......it makes them defend the WR's, TE and HB/Fb as if they may receive it. We threw it to basically everybody and ran it with basically everybody. Works wonders does it not?

Same could be said for LSU most of the year.

I've always said this. Even if Florida was 1-4 going into the game, I'd be nervous. Regardless of the records, these two teams always play each other hard. So far this century, these teams have been pretty evenly matched but with a slight edge to LSU because of our success the past few seasons (9-7)
