If you had to pick one thing about a Fall Saturday on the hallowed grounds of LSU campus that gave you chills, what would it be? What one thing gets you fired up more than anything?

For me, when the band plays Neck and the student section is going batshit crazy, up by 3 to Bama on the final drive.. That is the kind of thing you hope your children can experience.

Holy crap, am I that old. Pre-game is the only true answer here. That or maybe listening to the drummers and band warm up at the Greek Theater.

Good for the student section. That's what they get for being idiots.

When the band marches down, stops, and the 4 greatest notes in college football are played. No matter how many times i've seen it, i always get chills

Call me crazy...but I love to watch pre-game warmups...When they're running plays and they end it with a punt and everybody runs back to the lockerroom while Callin' Baton Rouge is being played over the PA...I don't know...I loved pre-game when I was playing HS ball...and I still love it today. Probably because you just know what is going through their minds...they're ready to get after it!

Every time the band plays the drum cadence as the fourth quarter starts, then those four wonderful notes: "Baaah-bum-baaah-dum!" and the whole stadium erupts. Never fails to give me goosebumps.

I'm with you. Any answer other than Pregame is just wrong. However, it's lost it's luster over the years. Last year we couldn't even manage to get the stadium full for the salute against............................. freaking Bama of all teams.

Good answer, and I pre-date "Callin' Baton Rouge" I can see that this is definitely a moment to remember though.....

The band coming down the hill always gives me chills. Just something about seeing the crowd gather to watch them march into the stadium and cheering along is special.

Pre game: The team running out on the field and the crowd going crazy!
During the game: When the crowd gets so loud I can't hear myself screaming. (UGA 03, UF 07, Bama 10) those are a few that come to mind.

You gotta be shittin' me. OK, I'm headed home next year. How does an old alumnus who's never been able to afford them get season tickets anyway????

Speaking of...

Does anybody rememebr when Florida would come to TS in the late 80s/Early 90s and their band would play "On Broadway" by George Benson...FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION of pregame warmups?

I used to hate it at the time, and thought it was so cocky, but secretly I always thought it was kinda cool.

If not for the cadence of neck and how it just got everybody pumped, this is my close second. And yes, RIP.

I love pregame and marching down the hill too, but usually it's so crowded and hot and I'm too "tipsy".

Yes. Florida's band sucked during this time-frame. Big part of the reason I chose LSU incidentally (GBFTL 1990-1993.....)
