Everybody is freaking out. I'm about as diehard as they come and I'm literally devastated right now, but calm down. Yes, the team is not what we expected. There are NUMEROUS reasons why, but just calm down.

The play at the end of the game resulted in a wide open 12 foot jumper. Any coach in America would say they would take that with a guy who has been super clutch in the past.

I'm way more worried about our Big men being lazy and giving zero effort on the boards.

CJJ is what he is, but he's a way better coach than our past coaches. This team will get it together and give us exciting basketball along with ugly basketball. And since it's obvious Mickey and Martin are going nowhere, next year we will probably be even better

I have no problem with the last play, but a loss is a loss. This team needed to make the NCAA Tournament this year. The Rhode Island loss gave them no margin for error. Well, we just erred.

Not to mention big Big Elbert annd Ben Simmons coming in. This program has a bright future, but yes, I am one who had hoped for better results this year.

About what? Him being a better coach? Yea, he's definitely better than Brady and TJ. Martin and Mickey coming back? Yes, they're coming back. We're losing Stringer and replacing him with a taller guy who is just as good of a shooter and probably better athlete. Those are basically facts

It is always going to be the same for JJ. He is just not a good coach. It was apparent last year, people are just figuring it out this year. The texas tech win this year was a prime example. He did everything he could to lose. But, he is a great recruiter. It's really probably the best LSU can do, basketball-wise. So be it. We will have our year every 6 yrs or so

We looked and performed better last year with seemingly way less talent.

This is a good point here. Something about it seemed like we were a much better competitors as a whole last year. Possibly no chemistry with the team this year?

We lost this game when Jones failed to call a timeout and run a set play with 10 ticks left in regulation. No discipline, just yard ball!

i would hope next year is better since we have regressed so badly in two weeks time.

all the way up to the Rhode island game we looked good, since that day the effort has been lacking and we have played like arse

yup

If we're being honest with ourselves, that's really the best we can ever hope for at a place where basketball is the third priority

This game was lost at the FT line. Plain and simple.

Our uptempo game is more like out of control and too many turnovers. Pushing the ball is one thing, but it needs to be done with some discipline.

Every team should zone us since we can't figure out how to get the ball inside. Macy was spot on with his commentary about how poor we are at attacking the zone.

Martin, Quarterman, Morgan, Odo, Hammink, Stringer all have underperformed thus far, and they know it. They will tell you themselves, they aren't proud of the results. They'll work hard and improve, that's what its about.
