Less pressure on the next guy. Part of the reason people don't want to come here is high expectations with no time to settle.

Definitely a job requirement. I'm sick of listening to incoherent gibberish.

Who says people don't want to come here?

We were never landing Jimbo after 2015 (and who knows how real that was anyway) and likely not Herman after BEVO got involved.

How many other top coaches were talked to and turned us down due to unrealistic expectations and a short leash?

First, fire Alleva and anyone else that will obstruct a thorough coaching search process

We'll never know about Herman because Joe didn't even attempt to negotiate.

I agree. The reason O was a good hire is because he sets the stage for a great hire. However, other than Kirby Smart the SEC is struggling to make a great hire.

You're right about 2015. That was a the right timing but we screwed that up. But a year later, the options were slim.

Not firing Miles in November of 2015 is the worst mistake LSU ever made. We'll pay for years for that mistake.

Bob Stoops can be had for the right price after he does the Urban Meyer "Soul Searching" thing for a season.

Contact him now. Don't wait.

He would be the best option...........

This ain't the 80's anymore. Any coach, especially one getting paid major dollars, has pressure from day one

Walking into a shithouse makes them less likely to want the job. For all the shite you clowns give DiNardo, he made the situation attractive enough for a Saban to come in and build/fix some stuff. If Saban had to start by cleaning up Curley's mess, he doesn't take the job.

Maybe...and that's only if you think the pickings are slim unless you need a gargantuan hire.

If you are of the mind that Ed Orgeron would almost certainly not been in the Top 50 potential candidates on your coaching search board, then options weren't slim at all. LSU could have thrown darts at random and hit a head coach with a track record of at least mediocre success that would have taken the job.

I'm done pretending in any way that a lack of options around the country is why we ended up with O as coach. That only flies if you think he's a reasonable candidate from the start...and I never did.

We could have had him Thanksgiving night for 5.5 million or 3.5 the day we lost to UF.

Orgeron played politics and got the job. There was no search.

Now imagine if we'd fired Miles after the Aggy game in 2015. Very unlikely Orgeron gets the job then and we're more in a Georgia type situation with a new HC in his second full year.

I was wrong beefense. It was more hope than anything else. I'm serious. I was not a fan of the hire.

But Miles deserved to be fired.

Ok I'll stop with that.

I was wrong and miles should have been gone after a&m. Tell the truth Sunday
