Ole Miss Kick Returns:

NO YDS AVG LONG TD
Walton 4 46 11.5 18 0
Davis 1 11 11.0 11 0
TEAM 4 57 14.3 18 0

LSU Kick Returns:

NO YDS AVG LONG TD
Guice 5 91 18.2 24 0
TEAM 5 91 18.2 24 0

Granted, we didn't do a whole lot with our returns, but only giving up an 18 yard run on 5 kicks is definitely an improvement.

Don't care.

Peveto was the worst special teams coach in the history of LSU this year. Think about that.

Didn't we miss a kick and shank a few punts?

i pointed this out after the game and people threw rotten tomatos at me. they didn't want to hear it.

it was amazing how much they improved in one week. i wish i knew what happened. the "light" just doesn't come on that suddenly on special teams. we either had new players or new coach.

So it took until the second to last game to show improvement? Fantastic

Sorry but IMHO special teams have generally been poor this year.

Need a coaching change there for sure.

Let's look at this objectively, shall we?

Ole Miss is ranked in special teams:

Punt Return - 113
Kick Return - 124

In other words, we were good against one of the worst return teams in the country. Do you want a trophy?

The played against one of the worst punt return/kick return teams in the nation. That's what happened.
