Spaghetti Works was good (not super fancy by any means but we had our 3 kids with us) ... and there was Zesto's by the old park ... not sure if they moved or not.
Also there's a real good steak restaurant in the Old Market area (is that what it was called?). Took the carriage ride -- my 9 yo dtr loved it.
And the zoo is freaking awesome.
We stayed at some hotel near a homeless shelter that was REALLY nice ... it's near where the new stadium is but don't remember the name of it. Some people stay in Council Bluffs, Iowa too.
We drove west and went to soem NASA I think museum .. it was cool; again we had kids so we also did some drive thru safari not too far from the NASA place. This was probably about an hour or less west of Omaha.
Just wear LSU gear every day .. that goes without being said of course ... but Omaha people and businesses LOVE LSU!

Team has traditionionally stayed at embassy suites and food is just ok. Tailgate and share your jambalaya and gumbo is my suggestion. Crawfish boil would be awesome.

that's the way I went. Stopped in St. Louie for a night game. took 70 across to KC for a night and saw an Astros/Royals game then a just few hours straight shot up from KC to Omaha

As suggested, check out the old threads.
The zoo is excellent, especially the ape enclosure.
Old Town is pretty nice, especially at night.
I tried to take my little one to the childrens' museum last time I was up there but did not realize it was closed on Mondays. I plan on trying again this time. We stayed at the Courtyard in La Vista, which we got a really good deal on through Pricline. It was a new hotel and very kid friendly. Not sure if you are taking kids.

Old town has a bunch of specialty stores if that's what you are looking for. The mall is pretty large and has all of the usual stuff in it.

Cool, I just need somewhere for her to shop so I don't have to hear her cry.
