I fell asleep so I didn't get to watch much of the Ole Miss/Bama game did Ole Miss look that good or did Bama look that bad. I was surprised that the Bama D gave up that many points. I guess the 5 TO's didn't help.

A win is a win, unless you have to face them again in title game.

One of Ole Miss' touchdowns was a miracle fluke play.

Ole Miss looked pretty good, but when your QB throws a ball up for grabs and it bounces off a defenders helmet downfield and into the arms of a WR and he goes for a TD, there Is a "smidgen" of luck involved....

Bama got a TD off an onside kick that was illegally touched, so iut worked out fine

The Rebs went to Bama and punched them right in the face. Hopefully we do the same.

I'm still more worried about Alabama.

Alabama had 500 yards offense and 36 minutes TOP.

If not for 5 turnovers, they win handily.

And the miracle play was just that, a miracle.

They looked good. Their offense was really overrated by the scoreboard though.

Their defense is legit. I think we can still run on them like last year though. Bama fricked up getting away from the running game and putting the ball in their QB's hands.

Chad Kelly is 10x better than Bo Wallace though and their WRs are good.

ETA:

Stolen from SEC Rant:

quote:

OM Scoring Drives:

2 yards - FG
26 yards - TD
18 yards - TD (104 yards total in 1st half, but three fields of 26 yards or less = 46 yards & 17 points)

87 yards - TD (3rd & 1 panic/prayer throw bounced off helmet for 66 yards)
49 yards - FG
51 yards - FG
81 yards - TD (penalty pass, but whatever, count it)
31 yards - TD

The longest non fluke drives OM had for points all night were 49 & 51 for FGs. You had a total of 77 yards of O on scoring drives after turnovers. 77 yards and 24 points.

Thoughts on arm strength of Kelly? Ball didn't have as much zip on it as I thought it would.

nkemdiche against the interior of the LSU OL is going to be a fun matchup.

i'll also say that it's rare that a team comes into bryant-denny with the kind of attitude that ole miss brought on saturday. haven't seen something like that since '11 LSU or '12 A&M, which I supposed are the last 2 times they've lost at home recently.

What Gump wrote this? 4 of the 5 turnovers were most certainly forced, and it ignored the flukes that Bama got that kept the game "close."

if we're gonna discredit ole miss stats, can we do the same with bama's since they played from well behind most of the game?

When it was 30-10 Ole Miss looked like they were straight up handling bama, and it wasn't close.
Both teams had some lucky plays (Kelly "hail Mary", Bama onsides kick), and Bama was negative 5 in turnovers.
It's a miracle it was close.
But bama's secondary looks even worse, their kicking game still sucks, and the QBs aren't exactly amazing.
Ole Miss was the better team but, like a lot of wins, this one was a combination of luck and execution.
It's probably their most decisive looking SEC loss since before 2011.

2 of the interceptions were so not forced. They were just passes to the other team. It was hilarious.

1 of the kickoff return fumbles was caused by 2 bama players colliding

The onside kick, sure, but Bama had 5 turnovers and still barely lost.

I said Ole Miss was really good, but its not like they had sustained long drives on Bama. It was the opposite actually.

This is pretty staggering.
