Rebels freshman defensive end and former No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche appeared to injure his left hamstring during the second quarter of the Rebels' game against Texas A&M. He didn't return to the game.

Early indications are that Ole Miss linebacker Serderius Bryant is suffering from a concussion. He was carted off on a gurney.

Best wishes and speedy recovery wishes to both players. Their absence was noticeable after they left the game, IMO.

Glad that's all it was. Looked like a real nasty hit and he was down on the turf for quite a while.

That injury to Bryant was concerning. I was relieved to see him give the thumbs up as he was wheeled off.

Honestly, I'm glad that it was only a concussion. The replay made it look like something much worse. Best wishes to that dude.

There are no replacements, no depth. The 2 best D linemen are out. Backup linebackers will be the replacements. This really hurts OM, according to local sports news that I have to suffer through. There's no LSU news, only State and OM. I saw Nkemdeche go back in and he just took up space, couldn't run at all. They say the other guy is better and hurts more losing him.

Having a sophomore slump. He hasn't lived up to expectations this season. That can happen when a kid goes from an unknown to superstar on campus in a year. Dude was a beast last year.

Shucks I wanted Robert Nkemdiche to get to play against us. Robert trolled us and a number of schools with his recruitment. I get his brother is a rebel and his mom wanted them to play together. He could have easily just said so, instead of playing the slilly childish games he played. Wanted him to be Tiger Bait. Ok i know i should put it in rear view mirror.

Robert Nkemdiche did return to the game late. He was the 'spy' on Manziel after Bryant was injured.

Denzel was the spy late. Robert would have been even more ineffective

Just to give some perspective on this game next week, Ole Miss was actually favored in this game at some books preseason.

If you watched their game last night, it was evident Freeze is losing some faith in Bo Wallace. He looks hesitant and indecisive, and that was against one of the weakest defenses, if not the weakest, in the league.

We're now favored by 8, and with Furman on deck, not likely for a letdown.
