Playing LSU in the Superdome is an enclosed home game for us. I far as I know, we are undefeated in the Superdome at least in the last 10 years.

Our last loss in the Superdome in football was January 1, 1987 against Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl.

Tigers could have beaten OU at there place! Just another excuse. aTm thought they had home field advantage but man looked what happened to them. Tigers will play anyone anywhere, just look at our schedule. We don't even schedule season openers at home! Reckon who wants wants to come to Death Valley for their season opener????

I’ve never met a Sooner fan who enjoyed the experience in New Orleans for that game, even prior to the game. Many were practically mugged on the streets by drunken, lunatic LSU fans.

...exactly how does one "practically mug" someone?

Everyone seems to make a big deal that the Sugar Bowl is a home game for LSU.
Yet you never hear a mention that the Rose bowl is a home game for USC.. yet 9 of 10 of USC's National championships have been won in the Rose bowl.

It's not just the Superdome for LSU.

LSU's 13-1 in dome stadiums since 1995.

It's that turf baby.

LOL at people acting like it doesn't matter where the game is played. C'mon! If LSU makes it to the MNC they will win it. PERIOD. I'm not saying it's impossible for any other team to win there but let's not act like it's not a factor.
Anyway, this is all hypothetical stuff, and the spring games haven't even been played yet

Saying we don't have an edge in NOLA would be stupid. We own that place, and we should. If I was another team I wouldn't wanna play LSU in the Superdome for the NC

I was at that game. What do you think the makeup of the crowd was? 80-20 LSU? 70-30? It wasn't. I remember being kind of pissed that so many sooners made it into the Dome. I wanted a real "home field " advantage. To my dismay, it was just a nuetral site game. We had many more, but to call it.a "home" game for LSU is ludicrous. The advantage in numbers that OU had against UCONN looked far worse than what we had in the Dome that night.

OU is becoming the whiniest fanbase in the nation due to choke job bobs performance in big games.

I know many Sooner fans, and even the rational ones are still sore about the 2003 (season) / 2004 NC game - citing the location as the deciding factor. They believe to this day that the Sooners would have won on a neutral field.

Before LSU, they played Kansas St. on a neutral field. Ask them how that went.

Maybe it helped some...but would it have changed the outcome? Who knows?

I will say this...I think that LSU plays better on the road than OU, and I would be happy to see LSU play OU at Jerry's World one day too. We played pretty well in Dallas this year against a Tx A&M team that beat OU, and we have also done well against UGA and some others in the GA dome.

The damn game was not as close as it the score. LSU blew a chance to put the game away early in the 3rd and a bullshite penalty was called I forgot on who that pushed us out of field goal range. Then the next series Mauck threw a horrible pick that is only thing that kept the sooners in the game.

Mr Turner was a coach on my son's football team this year. I had to ask the obvious question. How did it feel to crush the want out of Jason White? He just smiled.

Was that game played in Baton Rouge? No so it was on a nuetral field.

Oh shite we would have beat uga in 05 and could have possibly played for a bcs championship if the game was played on a neutral field.

It does matter but in no way was that a home game. If im not mistaken the tickets allotted to the schools are the same. Regardless if LSU is playing. If they want more fans there, then they should shell out the money and show up.
