No more Kiel, meet is no doubt our man.... How much does Rivers benefit from this whole thing?

If we have Mett for the two remanding years, is Rivers going to be strong enough competition to keep Mett on top of his game until it's time for Rivers to take over?

I believe that no matter how good you are, competition keeps you on that upper level, keep that hunger alive to succeed and not just get comfortable in your position....no QB controversy, just wondering how much Rivers will keep Mett on his game.....

Thoughts......

Mett, Randall, and Rivers will all push each other. This is Mett's team though.

Mett wants a championship. The team wants a championship. Hopefully nothing can stop them next year.

If Mett can come in and be successful it will obviously help recruit the position in the future.Of course that all depends on Les.

No doubt this is Mett's team...I'm hoping for both of the remanding years of his eligibility.... I'm am expecting Mett to come in as a true leader and take on this whole deal....I loved JL, and also saw the good in JJ, BuT leadership...true gridiron leadership, they both seemed to lack at times. Mett seems to have that chip on his shoulder that you want in your leader

If Mett is as good as everyone on here is thinking and expecting him to be and we end up in Miami next Jan. he will be a one year starter at LSU so Rivers better be getting ready. That is why it is so important for LSU to sign a top QB in this class
