You all jump up and down that Houston beat up on a Louisville team which has possibly one of the worst Defenses in the Country. Yet, you CHOOSE to overlook MAJOR RED FLAGS with Herman like losing not once but twice in this season to teams like Navy and SMU and dodging bullets in a couple of other games against SORRY COMPETTION.

Mind you that this guy Herman has less than 2 years of head coaching experience and would be putting that offense against SEC Defenses. Not Big 12 defenses or Horrible Louisville defense.

LSU plays in the toughest neighborhood in College Football and I can safely tell you that if you can't run the damn ball at the level Houston is playing at in that Chicken-shite conference they are in then arse-whippin's are just waiting for Herman and Company in the SEC.

If you think for one damn second that Saban wouldn't eat Houston alive then you are delusional.

Herman can kiss all his players before each game (gay) and any other cutsie bullshite he wants but he is not what LSU needs.

I prefer to be called a "Hermanite"

And the rest of your argument, if we can call it that, is lame-o...

You're absolutely right. Let's hire the guy with 3 years of HC experience which led to him being fired and never asked to run a program since simply because he talks like you white rubber boot wearing crawfish field stompers.

or the guy who is nearly a Les Miles clone. None of our coaching choice don't have some blemishes. I'll take my chances who has the upside to be great (herman) over the one with limited upsided (fisher) or the one who is to risky (Orgeron).

Lame is losing to Navy and getting blown out by SMU.

If you have watched Houston over the whole season you can see serious questions arise when there is such a roller-coaster going on over there. They even asked this same question on TV during the game last night.

If Herman was at LSU and beat Alabama, Florida, A&M but lost to Vandy and Louisiana Tech what would you say then?

And believe it or not kissing your players before each game is LAME for any head coach to do. I can only imagine the ridicule that would come LSU's way with the "Kissing Coach". Geez.

That's an urban Meyer offense and it worked just fine at Florida.

the thing is you are comparing him to other major college programs that have wayyyy better talent top to bottom...what he has done with less talent is worth looking at....yes he has lost a few games he shouldnt of but he also won games he had no business in either...Same thing with Aranda when he was hired...he was successful with 0-3 star athletes....and look what he has done with 4-5 stars...10 tds all season....

by the way.... Saban was 6-6 and 10-2 at Michigan state(no national championships or conference championships) when we hired him to LSU....i think you are delusional to say that Herman wouldnt be successful with the talent LSU has to offer and his offense...(

Saban brought Herman to Tuscaloosa to give a coaching clinic basically explaining how his offense at OSU beat Bama's arse. True story. And I'm pretty sure there's a difference between Houston talent and LSU talent. If you don't like Herman, fine. But statements like this are misinformed and stupid.

A running QB could have beat Saban this year. Sabans running QB beat us with his ability to extend one play.

WE WERE ONE DUAL THREAT QB ON A BUSTED PLAY FROM SCORING. Oh wait, ours couldn't run.

Oh wait, Saban went to the spread because of a loss to Herman when he was at Ohio State.

Don't let the OP fool you. He has lost 3 total games.

1 was to a triple option Navy team @ Navy in a rain storm. Not an excuse but that weather favors a Navy team over just about any team in the country

Last year they lost to Uconn without their starting QB. Houston lacks depth at all positions, and Herman didn't have a capable backup b/c Houston doesn't have the talent to have one. However, he did do some ok things with Kenny Guiton, Braxton Miller, JT Barrett and Cardale Jones

The inexcusable one is SMU. So he has 1 bad loss. Didn't watch it so I won't judge it.

Tom Herman lives in a world where he wants to compete with Saban and Meyer. I don't know if there are 10 other coaches in the country who really WANT to be on the other sideline

I am saying that there is serious doubt when you lose to Navy 46-40 and SMU blows you out 38-16.

When you stuggle against Central Florida and Tulsa. There is a serious question. Especially when your schedule is loaded with lightweights such as UConn, Tulane (who he beat by 12 points), Texas State, and Lamar.

You guys are absolutely getting carried away with basicly a win over a mediocre OU team with no defense and the same with Louisville. Other thsn those two games wtf impresses you. How do you determine anything by blowing out Lamar or a close win over Central Florida or ignoring losses to Navy & SMU?

Trust me, if Jimbo had lost to SMU and NAVY it would be a concern and he has far more experience than Herman. Orgeron has coached agsinst far better competion in his 2 stints as a interim coach than Herman has in his two years at Houston.

Oh, and kissing your players is Very LAME. It is just silly.

He was able to run the ball at OSU with Ezekiel Elliott, what makes you think he couldn't do the same with Guice?
