The call at third appeared wrong but the umpire also looked to be in the wrong position during the play.
It was a good game both teams made mistakes and played great ball. I read the aggies board, that might be worse than the rant. We have a habit of beating them in sports and thats why they hate LSU so much. They can't make every excuse they want but they are tired of losing to us.

Dont blame them. The call at 3rd, while incorrect, was hard to see in real time. And the runner beat the ball. That called 3rd strike would have pissed me off so much if it had been on us. I don't blame them for being mad about that. The crowd got us that one. It was def off the plate quite a bit.

It would have pissed me off too, but my Aggie uncle texted me afterwards and he even said the pitch was too close to take there. Sucks for them, but that's baseball.

That was called strike because the ump completely blew the call on the 2-2 pitch. Same pitch just got the corner and he called it a ball when it should have been strike 3. Pitcher comes back with the same pitch and just misses, likely thinking the batter is going to swing because of the situation. It's close, ump blew the previous call, batter takes off for his base, and the ump burns the batter to give us the missed call back.
If the batter doesn't take off to first so quickly, he may have gotten the walk.
