Offseason Rumors Thread: Tigerland Edition

Rumor I heard secondhand from some nameless big wig sources:
A coalition of high rolling TAF and L Club members are pooling together resources to buy out the Tigerland clubs, bulldoze them, and then redevelop the area with safer, modern mixed use complexes.
Thoughts on this completely unsubstantiated rumor?

They need to buyout the apartments between Bogies and Rotolos and move some of the bars there.

It’s not Tigerland that is the issue. It’s the housing around it.
But I think the bar owners should all take the money and open a new spot on the new strip north of campus where the street car is going. That street car connection to downtown is going to be so fricking awesome for both LSU students and downtown businesses.
And you know it’s happening because the federal government is paying for most of it, not our broke arse state.

And the development that goes in Tigerland needs to be really expensive to keep riff raff out
And have 24/7 off-duty police.
