I hope things change but I don't think we can turn it around in one week.

17-13 LSU. Cocks have been mediocre on the road against Vandy and UKy. They shot their wad Sat night at home.

I thought Vandy would give them a game.

LSU pounds the rock and defense slows South Carolina just enough.

Official South Carolina Game Predictions...

Miles does NOT lose twice in a row (only happened once - 2008). Tiger Stadium at night = unstoppable (35-1 - only loss to UF in 2009).

If South Carolina can manage not to be intimidated by the crowd and make stupid mistakes (false starts, delay of game, turnovers) we will hang around. That's a big 'IF" by the way, because Tiger Stadium has a way of getting to visiting teams.

I haven't watched LSU closely, but there's no denying that the Tiger defense is nasty. I think the key will be how much push the LSU defensive line gets against our O-line. If Lattimore gets a crease, he can churn some tough yards.

I hope our defense can play as well this Saturday as they did against Georgia. We've looked suspect at times, but LSU's offense isn't exactly West Virginia.

Bottom line, this is a "want" game for South Carolina. We don't need to win on Saturday, as long as we can take care of Florida in the swamp, and then mop up Tennessee and Arkansas at home. On the other hand, LSU cannot lose this game, because Bama isn't going to lose two games. LSU needs this game, SC wants it.

I'll be a happy Carolina fan if we keep it close and have a chance at the end. My wife and I willl be making my first trip to Baton Rouge to see the sights and enjoy the atmosphere. My wife is from Louisiana, so we'll have fun in her element along with her college friends who are big Tiger fans.

Should be a good game. Looking at the night game stats, I think LSU wins. Good luck! Maybe we can meet again in ATL!

Two things in particular have me worried about this game:
1) Obviously a night game in Baton Rouge is not good for us, I was really hoping for a 330 game.
2) If it becomes a battle of field position - huge advantage LSU... our punting has been terrible, and even though our punt return game has been on point Wing can easily negate that.

still hopeful we pull out a close one:

13-10 Gamecocks.

that was one of the reasons florida beat us,.i had no idea their punter was that good. it's not like our offensive play calling is great, but when you have a qb making his second sec road start, wr's not catching the ball, and a suspect offensive line, you can't "open it up" when you're pinned back most of the game.
