We've got 4 in an RV and 10 going in a van. Leaving Slidell at 9 Friday and Saturday we're going to hook up with HATT. Two years ago they were down the street from the sorority houses.

Some people have reported that HATT is no more? Do you have information that they don't?

There will be a big group of LSU fans in the open lot across College St from the Art Museum. It is at the corner of Woodfield sp?? and College St. I have been to many Auburn games and this where we always park. LSU fans always park here too. 2 years ago there was plenty of drinking, eating and music. You can set up whatever you like and it is first come first serve. There is a liquor/ABC store up the hill. The only drawback is there is nowhere to urinate. We always cross the main road and head for the kudzu patch across the street, it has plenty of cover. It is a good ways from the stadium but there is a shuttle that will take you to the game about every 10 mins.

JAC,
I'm new to the Rant but a longtime season-ticket holder who travels with the Tigahs. The big open field on College is probably your best bet if you're traveling heavy or in an RV. Lots of friendlies there two years ago but a mile-plus to the stadium. Otherwise, it's nickel-dime locations. One year we found a church parking lot near the university for $20. If you find something better, let us know. Tnx

are you all students, or would a family be welcome to bring some stuff and join in? We are bringing our 14 and 12 year old to their first SEC game since they were very young, and they have never been out in a tailgating atmosphere... I was just looking for a place where they wouldn't cramp anyone's style and they could hang out and soak up some of the joy that is being an LSU fan!
Posted on 9/16/08 at 1:21 pm to LSUmomma
we were students. anyone is welcome to come, this is my first time going to auburn and i want to have fun. im sure no one would mind if you and your family came with us. where are yall staying and when are yall going up there?
Posted on 9/16/08 at 1:24 pm to jac1280
we live in Birmingham, and we'll be driving to the barn Sat. am as soon as my kids get out of their am workouts... we should get down there before noon for sure, but can't be sure to make it there much earilier, depending on traffic. I'm a good cook, and can bring anything that needs to be bought that day.....
