Offense or Defense. Which would you rather start first?

If we win the toss? I would like the offense to come out and get a good score and put up 6 that way we have momentum and get the defense pumped as well.

I would like to see the defense come out strong and gain some confidence. Prove to the Gumps that it's going to be a long game.

Defense. I want the ball to start 2nd half to extend lead by 21.

Defense, always defense.

I've always preferred defense no matter what.

D, because like someone earlier said, I want LSU to have the ball to start the second half to show off our halftime adjustments.
I would also like a full minute interview with CLM to lighten the mood a bit.

offense first, you have to gut punch their morale early. If they have offense and score they will get fueled. I believe we can score on our first possession.

If it was in TS, I might say offense simply because it's LSU best unit. However, on the road, I say defense. Reason being, there's a lot of emotion at the beginning of a game, and emotion seems to help the defense more than the offense. The offense probably needs to have a little more composure than the defense. If you put Bama on defense first, then you bring the fired-up crowd into play along with the emotional players right off the bat. Put them on offense first, and you kind of deflate the crowd just a bit. In that scenario if LSU can get their fired-up defense to force a punt, then you negate any benefit gained by them getting the ball first and you get to navigate the 1st half knowing you're going to get the ball to start the 2nd.

Both teams have faced at least a 14-0 deficit this year. Alabama responded to that with a 35-0 run against aTm

If our D sucks as bad as A&M, it's going to be a long day. They are 110 out of 123 teams.

I'd rather the O start. It's the better unit.

I always like Defense. You have a chance to score back to back possessions with halftime without the other team seeing the field

Offense comes out and pounds the ball for an 8 minute scoring drive.
Bama gets it back and LSU hits AJ hard to force a fumble; scooped up and scored by the defense.
3 and out the next drive
LSU starts with the ball in the 2nd quarter, game on.
