Opens only if no rain and game time temps are forecast to be between 50-80, and sometimes not even then. It'll be closed.

Glad the roof will be closed..... What time do the lots open for tailgating. The Texans website says 4 hours before kickoff. Will that be the same for this game? If so, cooking isn't an option...

which is a shame really. kickoff temp is predicted to be 54 with near zero chance of rain and remain that way throughout the game. Because of the way the stadium is built, it doesn't get a lot of wind. would be great weather for a game.
like you said, they don't use the 50-80 rule all the time with the Texans, with one of the stated reasons that the crowd gets louder. this would be fine, but they just should have built a fixed roof rather than spend millions on a retractable one that they rarely open.

Ah ok. Early forecasts I had seen showed little chance of rain. At any rate, doubtful it would be open regardless.
