Now that's the Ben Simmons to carry us to SEC Championship ... the one we saw leading us to a victory over the Gumps yesterday! Be that aggressive, Ben, and we win!

Yesterday was the most aggressive I've seen him offensively all year. I like it.

"setting the SEC up, to knock them down in tourney. And then bring on the dance to the one shining moment at the end of the purple rain.

Yeah Ben could even do better if the guards would learn not to telegrah the pass into the post.

For that matter Victor would too. If you look at the highlights early on Victor was posted up in pretty good position J. Patterson had the ball, and looked inside, but decided to dribble and go elsewhere with it. The most effective pass would have been a "behind the back pass," as he, J. Pat turned and dribbled facing half court. I know it sounds fancy and over doing it , but it really is not.

It's easy and effective , as long as a young player learns to have, the shoulder of the arm he is not dribbling with, aimed at his target.

In other words-turn the hold body, feet and all, so that the shoulder of the non dribbling arm, is aimed at at area you want the ball to go to.Works everytime.

Preferabably at the spot that could have led Victor toward the basket. The defender would have been caught completely of guard.

LSU ought to always coach a Pistol Pete pass to one player on the team. It really is not as hard as people think, and helps wins games

He hit two mid-range jumpers for the first time all year. If he can do that, just two...man the sky is the limit for him,

I think it is mental for him, because if you watch him warm ups he has a pretty good stroke. Kinda like that pitcher for the Cubs who has a mental block about throwing to first. If he can get over that hump man, look out.

I think at least one player on the team should be taught that 'knee dribble' that Pistol Pete would do every now and then. You just dribble say with your right hand, then fake a crossover but bounce it off the bottom your knee back into your right hand. Pretty cool move and very effective!

That and the between the legs crossover at a full run added with that pistol pete pass you were talking about would be the shite.

Aggressive Ben. And Ben and Craig staying out of foul trouble. Go from two really good bigs to a huge drop off in any of the backups.

A&M is about to hit a decently tough stretch of their schedule. That A&M game in the PMAC will be huge. We need a huge crowd to show up.. at noon. Woof

Yea, and the one where on the fast break, Pete passes the ball thru his legs and the opponents legs to his teammate for a layup. They ought to practice that a lot.

I saw the same thing. They have given that shot to him all year. If he started hitting it his average would increase by six a game.

It's something he's worked hard on

Hopefully it makes more of an appearance more and more each week

His work ethic is one of the reasons I have little doubt he'll be a great nba player

Honestly, he was a bit too aggressive against the Aggies with the way the officials were calling the game. Not sure what else could have been done with Victor in foul trouble though

Yeah good idea , this team needs to work on basic fundamentals, and not turning it over every other trip down the floor

Whoaaaa, most on this board said he didn't have any heart and he was simply mailing it in this year so he could declare for the NBA and get out.

agreed - I've been saying this all year. He's got good form and has a good free throw %, so I don't get why he can't knock down mid-range jumpers. But you're right, it might be in his head.

If he can shoot consistently from 15-18 feet, he becomes just about unguardable.

Ok I get it. You and Boxcar are bunking me or something

But, Big Ben-Sim, is a scorer, has power and can flip it, or lob it in, with touch. Just has to be patient and feel out the refs in some situations.
