I guess it's just because any kind of major change makes one nervous about the future and wistful about the past. There were some damn good times with Les. His first game, right after Katrina, the crazy SOB went for a fake punt from inside his own end zone. And went on to win that game in thrilling fashion. The next week he blew a huge lead and lost to Tennessee at home in a game that pretty much helped helped set the tone for hisvtenure at LSU. Capable of so much bizarre excitement, and so much head scratching failure. Eventually it was the failures that ended up costing him his job. Also failure to adapt, failure to make coaching changes in a timely manner, and failure to get out of his own way.
I'll miss Les Miles for the good memories, and look forward to what's next because of the bad.
Thanks coach, wherever you are. I hope you and your wife find a nice soft patch of grass and live a happy, relaxing life watching your kids and grandkids get old.

It was time. He was a good coach, but change was needed.

Not going to miss Les like ever.

Now that he is gone, and I'm supporting our new coach, I guess that makes me a posi-Tiger now?

Hell no! Good riddance. He burnt any respect bridge I had for him with his blatant stubbornness that hurt my alma mater not only in the field but financially. There won't be that extra athletic money like usual to send to the academics of the university this year. F King was obviously getting his financial advice from the government that runs this state. All a bunch of incoherent pieces of crap.

It's kind a like when you get rid of an old car. While you're getting your stuff out of it you think about the times you had in it and feel a twinge of regret. Then you get in the new car and it's all good.

Too bad Les couldn't teach Pocic to quit killing drives with holding penalties, or teach the dB's to quit letting opposing receivers run completely free, or teach the o line to pass block. Things you would think all these 5 star recruits would be able to learn.
