'No-Shows' of the Miles era

I'd classify a no-show as a game where the team lost and in the process
1) showed little to no effort
2) game was literally over before it started
In chronological order, Here's the no-Shows I see during the Miles era.
1) 2008 Florida L 21-51
2) 2008 Ole Miss L 13-31
3) 2009 Florida L 3-13 (LSU was never much in this contest despite the narrow margin)
4) 2012 Bama (NC Game) L 0-21
5) 2013 Bama L 17-38
6) 2014 Auburn L 7-41
7) 2014 Arkansas L 0-17
*I'd actually also arguably throw in UGA '08 as a border no-show
*I'll leave off the 2005 SECCG due to the hurricane and fatigue factor of it being LSU's 10th straight game
These no-shows tend to be mounting up more in recent history.
The question is, are these most recent 4 no-shows dating back to the 1/9/12 acceptable for a coach ten years into his tenure at a calibur a program such as LSU.

2013 Bama we were tied at half, or close to it.

I think that's a stretch to say that was a "no-show". Tie game on the road in the 3rd quarter, Bama needed a fake punt to jump start their offense. We certainly faded at the end, but that team was ready to play that night, just didn't get it done

21 points and a complete second half collapse.

I would also like to add there have been many many no-show wins in his tenure.

It doesn't count but the first time I screamed, "Fire this fricker tomorrow!" was at the 2nd to last play of the Tenn-LSU too-many-defenders game.
Then some kind of magical wizardry happened and the CFB world was focused on how inept Dooley was.

2009 Florida isn't a fair example. Defense played really well, but our inept offense couldn't score. The team was fired up and definitely showed up, IMO.
2013 Bama was a great game for 2 1/2 quarters. We just got worn down. Bad example.
The 2005 SECCG definitely belongs on this list. We never had a chance that night.
I'd add 2008 Troy to the list. The team definitely didn't show up until the middle of the 3rd quarter. They only won that game because Troy was retarded and started to throw the ball in the 2nd half.

We just find a way to lose to Alabama lately. I wouldn't consider those games our players come to play vs them

Florida drove up and down the field all night.

LSU was only down 20-14 in the 3rd.

It was tied at 17 midway through the 3rd.

All I know is last night was the first time in a while that I felt like the team and the coaching staff just mailed it in. It was like they just left it all on the field against 'Bama and there was nothing left to give.

Inexcusable. I will never understand our team's mindset that night as long as I live. All that good work that season, and pffft. Gone.

2013 vs. Bama...LSU had a Beautiful 1st Drive punching the Tide in the mouth...the JC Copeland loses the ball at the goal-line...changed the ENTIRE complexion of the game....that was basically the ball game; even though the Tigers managed to tie it back up.

You forgot every Arkansas game since he's been coach. I thought that might change this year since the game was not after Thanksgiving, but no luck. We play down to those guys every single year.

Kinda makes it a terrible example of a no show, doesn't it?

Lsu was up 17-3 over ULL at the half in 2009... But that first half was a shite show.

If this is the case, doesn't that make the fact that UF only got a TD and two FGs more impressive?

It feels like you just picked the biggest loses and claimed them as no shows. As many have pointed out, quite a few of these were competitive games that we eventually lost to superior teams that made us bend to their will. That isn't "no-showing", that is just getting beat.
No showing was Bama 21-0, Arkansas 17-0, Penn State 2010, and even though we won the game Tennessee 2010.

I would disagree with this assessment.
I was at this game ... Tebow's post-concussion coming out party, if I am not mistaken.
This was not a no-show ... we just had JJ as our QB.
