Any thoughts from our basketball experts? He's been the "recruiting coordinator" at both Ole Miss and Tenn.

i guess leonard will take on an admin role. always nice to have good recruiters with southern ties. treloar is going to be more of the rock for johnny to lean on which was leonard's position, so i guess pinkins effectively is replacing musselman.

What's the reassignment of Leonard?

Don't know much about him. Looks like he's a relatively young guy (42). Comes with a reputation of being a good recruiter and a guy who works with frontcourt players. Georgia native

I like it. Kennedy and Ole Miss have had a great eye for talent these past 5 years, and he obviously had a huge role in that. I've been wanting Leonard to take an admin role for awhile now

It seems to me he has for all intents and purposes been serving that role already since he's been here. This might make it more official?

The more I read up on him, the more i wonder how long we can hold on to Pinkins. this is a great hire

Also wondering if Ronald Dupree will still be the student assistant next season. I always like Dupree as a player and believe he will be a good coach in the near future. Dupree has returned to LSU to finish up his degree work; so, has he graduated?

i think some day he'll be a full-time asst here. the next step for him may be taking a job at a southern or SELA type and getting some bench coaching experience. if that time is not now i hope he is indeed back. players love him and you can't underestimate the rapport between young coaches and current players.

It's baseball season. Nothing else matters during baseball season. I hate to say it, but I'm basically speaking for everyone else.
I think it's a good hire, though.

I beleive Dupree was an EE major when he was a student.
I wonder if he is back in he same major?

Alright everyone, let's pack it in. No other sport talk during baseball season.

I still haven't figured out how some have the mental capacity to follow more than one sport simultaneously. How can people really be that intelligent?

I can tell you that FEW, and I mean FEW college athletes can cut the rigor of an Engineering Degree with all of the daily labs due, etc.
One of my friends was an Engineering Prof at LSU in the early 2000s and had nothing but the best things to say about Ronald.

I think some of the guys who continually post stuff like that are just trolling, but I also think you are correct...diminished mental capacity for some as well. Kinda sad.
I read the sports page every day and it's pretty easy to follow several sports all within the same hour. Not hard at all.

I could barely give less of a shite about college baseball. I hate to say it, but I'm basically speaking for 95% of the country.
Seems like a good hire. Attracting asst. coaches has been one of the best things Jones has done in his time here
